Duo Sort

Duo Sort Terms of Use

Last updated: 19 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and us for playing Duo Sort ("the game"). We have tried to keep them short and fair. Nothing in them takes away rights that consumer law gives you.

1. Who we are

Duo Sort is made and sold by Darius Andrei Aftan, an individual developer in Romania ("we", "us"), published on Google Play as "Darius Development" and on the App Store as "Aftan Darius Andrei".

The store you downloaded the game from has its own terms, which also apply: Apple's Standard EULA on the App Store and the Google Play Terms of Service on Google Play. If you got the game from the App Store, we, not Apple, are responsible for the game and for these terms, and Apple may enforce the Standard EULA as a third-party beneficiary.

2. Playing the game

The game is free to play. It shows ads and offers optional in-app purchases. You can play as a guest, without an account; then your progress is saved only on your phone. Our Privacy Policy explains what data the game uses.

Accounts are for players 13 and older. If you are younger than the age at which you can agree to a contract where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.

3. Your account

4. Player names and playing with others

Your player name is public: other players see it on the leaderboard, in friend lists, in Play in 2 rooms, in tandem events and in the invite links you share. Please choose a name that:

The game filters some words, but no filter catches everything. If you see a name or behaviour that breaks these rules, write to [email protected] with the name and where you saw it. We look at every report and may rename the player, remove them from the leaderboard or close the account. You can remove a friend at any time from your friend list.

5. Fair play

Don't cheat, use bots, change the game's files or its traffic, exploit bugs on purpose, or try to get into our servers or other players' accounts. If you find a bug, please tell us instead.

6. Virtual items and currencies

7. The Café Pass

8. Purchases

9. Children and purchases

Players under 13 can't create an account and see no buy buttons in the game. Teenagers should ask a parent or guardian before buying anything. Parents can control or block purchases with the store's own tools: Ask to Buy and Screen Time on iPhone, and purchase approvals and authentication on Google Play. For a purchase a child made without permission, ask the store for a refund; we will help if you write to us.

10. Your right of withdrawal (EU and UK)

As a consumer in the EU or the UK you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a contract made online. For digital content delivered straight away, such as virtual items and the Café Pass, this right ends when delivery starts, but only if you first agreed to immediate delivery and acknowledged that you lose the right of withdrawal. The store asks for this when you confirm the purchase. If you did not give that consent and acknowledgement, you keep the 14 days.

This does not affect your rights when something you bought doesn't work or wasn't delivered: then you can ask for it to be fixed, or for a price reduction or a refund, as the law provides. Refunds are paid by the store: ask Apple or Google Play, or write to us and we will help.

11. Availability and changes

12. Our responsibility

We are responsible for providing the game as described and with the care you can reasonably expect. We are not responsible for losses we could not foresee, for problems caused by your device, your internet connection or the stores, or for guest progress lost because it was saved only on your phone.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for intent or gross negligence, or for your statutory rights as a consumer, such as the legal guarantee that digital content works as promised.

13. The game itself

The game, its art, music, characters and code belong to us or to those who licensed them to us. You may play it for your own enjoyment, and share screenshots and videos of your play. The open-source software, fonts and other assets in the game are used under their own licences, listed on the Licenses page.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Romanian law. If you are a consumer living in another country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you can go to the courts there or in Romania.

If you have a problem, please write to us first at [email protected]: most things can be fixed quickly. You can also contact the Romanian consumer protection authority, ANPC (which also lists the approved bodies for out-of-court dispute resolution), or the consumer authority where you live. We are not obliged to take part in out-of-court dispute resolution, but we will consider it in good faith.
