Delete your LuviDuo account and data

1. Delete from inside the app

Open LuviDuo and go to Settings → Account → Delete account. Follow the confirmation steps. This starts deletion of your LuviDuo account and associated data. Deep link (Android): luviduo://settings/account/delete

2. Request deletion without reinstalling the app

If you cannot access the App or have uninstalled it, email [email protected] with subject “LuviDuo account deletion request”. Include: the email address used for the LuviDuo account; your display name if available; a short statement that you want your account and data deleted. We may need to verify your identity before processing.

3. What is deleted

• Account/authentication records (auth user row, email, OTP records).
• Profile data: display name, avatar, gender if provided, preferences.
• Partner links, couple state, shared tasks, shopping lists, decisions, matching choices, game sessions, Truth-or-Dare history, XP, streaks, league placement, rewards, cosmetics, daily quests and progression.
• User-generated content: doodles, notes, live-presence images and uploaded photos (live-presence images also auto-expire after 8 hours regardless of deletion).
• Push tokens and notification preferences.
• Location-related event records.
• Support records tied to your email, unless needed for ongoing support, legal or security reasons.
• Your linked partner is notified that the couple link has been dissolved; their content is not deleted.

4. What may be retained and why

• Anti-abuse pseudonymised record for up to 30 days (to prevent invite/referral farming, repeated abuse, fraud). Not used to provide features. Deleted after 30 days.
• Couple-reports filed against you may be retained in pseudonymised form.
• Crash logs processed by Sentry for up to 90 days (auto-expire; cannot be selectively deleted).
• Purchase/invoice records as required by Romanian and EU tax law (typically 10 years).
• Records required by court order, regulator, or law enforcement.

5. Processing time

Within 30 days after verifying the request (GDPR Art. 12(3)). Complex requests may take up to two further months. We will reply by email if more information is needed.

6. Subscriptions and purchases

Deleting your LuviDuo account does not cancel a subscription. Premium is billed by Apple or Google, not by us, so it keeps renewing until you cancel it in the store where you bought it: Apple ID subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. A one-time Lifetime purchase has nothing to cancel.

When you delete your account, we also ask our payment processor RevenueCat to delete your purchase profile. Apple and Google keep their own records of your transactions under their policies, and deleting your LuviDuo account does not cancel a subscription.

Premium covers both partners. If the deleted account is the one that paid, the other partner’s Premium ends with it, and they can subscribe again from their own account. Sparks and virtual items have no cash value and are not refunded by us; refunds are decided by Apple or Google.
