Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

LuviDuo is a couple-oriented app for matching decisions, live presence, widgets, date ideas, games, streaks, shared tasks and relationship memories. The operator/controller for personal data is Aftan Darius Andrei, individual developer. The Google Play developer name is Darius Development.

2. Data we collect

• Account and authentication data, such as user ID, email address, login provider, account status and timestamps.
• Profile data, such as display name, avatar, profile preferences and gender if you choose to provide it.
• Partner links and couple data, such as couple pairing status, invite/referral metadata, shared tasks, shopping lists, decisions, matching choices, games, Truth or Dare prompts or answers, XP, streaks, leagues, rewards and cosmetic progress.
• User-generated content, such as avatars, doodles, drawings, notes, live-presence images, uploaded photos and camera/photo content you choose to create or send.
• Location data when enabled, including precise or background location for reminders, geofences, widgets, nearby date ideas, couple distance or other couple features that require location.
• Notification data, such as Firebase Cloud Messaging push tokens, notification preferences, delivery metadata and interaction status.
• Advertising and reward data, such as AdMob ad identifiers, consent choices, rewarded ad eligibility, frequency capping and ad reporting signals.
• Diagnostics and crash data, such as device model, operating system, app version, performance data, crash logs and error events processed through Sentry.
• Purchase data, such as Google Play Billing or App Store purchase/subscription status, product IDs, transaction metadata and entitlement state if purchases are enabled.
• Maps, geocoding, places and movie metadata requests when applicable, including query text, approximate context, selected places, date ideas or TMDB/movie metadata interactions.

3. How we use data

• To create, authenticate and maintain user accounts.
• To link couples and power shared couple features, matching, games, widgets, live presence, reminders and progression.
• To send push notifications, love notes, reminders, streak alerts and account/service messages.
• To provide optional location-based reminders, geofences, distance features, widgets and date ideas when enabled by the user.
• To show ads, rewarded ads and consent-controlled advertising where enabled.
• To process purchases, subscriptions, entitlements, refunds and fraud prevention if paid features are enabled.
• To diagnose crashes, fix bugs, secure the service, prevent abuse and improve performance.
• To respond to support, privacy and data deletion requests.

4. Camera, photos, doodles and live presence

LuviDuo may request camera or photo permissions so you can create avatars, send photos, make doodles, share drawings or use live-presence features. We process this content only to provide the features you choose to use, to sync it with your partner where applicable, and to keep the app secure.

5. Location

Location features are optional and depend on device permissions. If enabled, LuviDuo may use precise, approximate or background location to support couple distance, location-aware reminders, geofences, widgets, nearby date ideas or place recommendations. You can change location permissions in your device settings.

6. Ads, rewarded ads and consent

If ads are enabled, LuviDuo may use Google AdMob to serve ads or rewarded ads. AdMob may process ad identifiers, device information, consent choices, coarse location, impression data and other ad delivery signals. Where required, we ask for consent or provide choices for personalized and non-personalized ads.

7. Service providers

We use service providers to operate LuviDuo. These may include:

• Supabase for database, authentication, storage and backend services.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications.
• Google AdMob for ads and rewarded ads if enabled.
• Sentry for diagnostics, crash reporting and performance monitoring.
• Google Play Billing and App Store purchases for paid features if enabled.
• Maps, geocoding and place services for location-aware features if enabled.
• TMDB or similar movie metadata services for movie/series matching features where applicable.
• GitHub Pages and related hosting infrastructure for the public website.

We do not sell personal data. We may share data with providers only as needed to deliver, secure, analyze and improve the app, comply with law, process payments or protect users and the service.

8. Retention and deletion

We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes described above, including account operation, couple features, security, support, legal compliance and legitimate business records. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize account data and associated user data unless we need to retain limited information for legitimate reasons.

After account deletion, we may retain a minimal pseudonymized anti-abuse record for up to 30 days to help prevent invite/referral farming, repeated abuse, fraud or circumvention. This record is not used to provide app features and is deleted or anonymized after the hold expires unless a longer retention period is required by law or necessary for security.

9. Children and adult content

LuviDuo is not intended for children. Wild/adult Truth or Dare content and any adult-oriented content is intended only for users who are 18 or older. Users must not submit illegal, exploitative, non-consensual or child sexual abuse material.

10. Your EU privacy rights

If EU/EEA/UK privacy law applies, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to or port your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority, including ANSPDCP in Romania.
