Terms of Use

1. Using LuviDuo

LuviDuo is designed for consensual couple use only. You may use the App only if you can legally agree to these Terms and comply with applicable laws, platform rules and app-store terms. You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age your local law requires) to create an account.

Paid features and personalised advertising have a higher bar: they require you to be at least 16, the age of consent for data processing in the EU/EEA and in Romania. We ask for your year of birth once; below that age purchases are unavailable and advertising is non-personalised.

2. Consent and safety

You must not use LuviDuo to: stalk, harass, threaten, monitor, coerce or pressure another person; create or maintain a partner link without the other person's informed and voluntary consent; upload, request or share illegal, abusive, exploitative, hateful, non-consensual or private content without permission; use location, widgets, reminders, live presence or notifications to control, intimidate or track another person without consent; circumvent rate-limits, moderation, NSFW filters, profanity filters or anti-abuse mechanisms.

We may remove content, restrict features, suspend or delete accounts and report incidents to authorities (including NCMEC for CSAM) where these rules are violated.

3. User-generated content (UGC)

You are responsible for content you create, upload, draw, send, answer or share in LuviDuo, and you confirm you have the rights and consents needed to share it. You grant LuviDuo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit and display your UGC strictly to operate the Service for you and your linked partner. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

Couple names and couple photos can appear to other couples on leaderboards, leagues and public couple profiles unless you set your couple profile to private. You can report any couple from their public profile, and you can block a couple so that you no longer see them.

4. Content rules

LuviDuo Truth-or-Dare has two categories: Soft (family-friendly) and Fun (light-hearted). There is no adult or 18+ content category in the App. You must not use LuviDuo to create or distribute illegal sexual content, non-consensual intimate content, or child sexual abuse material, and you must not expose minors to inappropriate content.

5. AI features

Date Idea Roulette uses Google's Gemini API to write suggestions. Before the first request the App asks for your permission and tells you what is sent (your choices on that screen, your city and the names of nearby places). AI output is a suggestion only: check opening hours, prices, safety and suitability yourself before acting on it.

6. Premium subscription

LuviDuo Premium is granted at the couple level: when one partner buys it, both partners in that linked couple receive it for as long as it is active. A partner link is required, so the purchase screen is only offered to accounts that are linked to a partner.

Premium is offered as a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription, or as a one-time Lifetime purchase. The purchase screen shows the price, billing period and what each plan includes before you pay. Today:

• Memories kept. Without Premium, a photo, drawing or live-presence moment sent after the shared-history update is visible for 7 days, locked for 7 more days, and then deleted. With Premium they are kept for as long as your couple exists. Items sent before that update are kept regardless of plan, and you can export your data at any time from Settings, free of charge.
• Fewer ads. Premium removes the ads that stand in front of sending, playing and spinning. Optional ads you choose to watch for an extra bonus may still be offered.
• Monthly Sparks and faster wheel energy. A monthly allowance of Sparks, in the amount shown on the purchase screen, and wheel energy that refills twice as fast.
• Lifetime includes everything above, including the monthly Sparks and the faster wheel energy. It is a single payment and does not renew.

Auto-renewing subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through the store where they were purchased at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase. You can manage or cancel at any time in your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings; the App links there. Deleting a LuviDuo account does not cancel a Google Play or App Store subscription; cancel it in the store separately.

Apple and Google act as merchant of record and handle billing, applicable VAT and refunds under their own policies. EU consumers have the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts; for digital content supplied immediately, that right is lost once supply begins with your express consent and acknowledgement (Directive 2011/83/EU, art. 16(m)). Refund requests are decided by Apple or Google; the App can open their refund flow for you. When you request a refund, you agree that we may give the store information about the purchase and how it was used, as described in the Privacy Policy, so it can decide the request.

Invite rewards: every 3 validated couples you invite grant your couple 7 days of Premium. These days are a gift, are not a subscription, and do not renew.

7. Sparks and virtual items

Sparks are an in-app virtual currency. They can be earned in the App, received as part of an active subscription, or bought in packs through the store. Sparks and all virtual items (cosmetics, pet items, furniture, rewards) have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and are licensed to you for use in the App only.

Sparks bought with money do not expire and are not removed when a subscription ends. Purchased Sparks are refunded only through Apple or Google; if a store refunds a purchase, we may remove the Sparks it granted.

The Sparks wallet belongs to the couple, not to either partner. Sparks are earned, granted and spent by the couple together. If a couple ends, the Sparks stay with that couple's account, including Sparks bought with money; they are not split between partners and do not move into a new couple.

Some features give randomised rewards (for example, the pet's wheel). The odds of each outcome are shown in the App before you use them.

8. Account deletion

You may delete your account in-app via Settings → Account → Delete account, or via https://luviduo.com/data-deletion/.

9. Availability and changes

We may change, pause, limit or discontinue features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or permanent availability of any feature, reward, cosmetic or third-party data source. We will not take away a paid benefit during a period you have already paid for.

10. Third-party services

LuviDuo relies on Supabase, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google AdMob, Sentry, Google Play Billing, App Store purchases, RevenueCat (subscription management), maps, geocoding and place services, Google Gemini, TMDB, and OpenStreetMap/Overpass. These services have their own terms and policies; see the Privacy Policy for the current list.

11. Enforcement

We may restrict, suspend or delete accounts, content, couple links, rewards or access where we believe these Terms are violated, the App is abused, user safety is at risk, fraud is suspected, or legal or platform compliance requires it.

12. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of (a) amounts paid by you for LuviDuo in the 12 months before the event, or (b) EUR 50. Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable consumer rights under Romanian or EU law.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Romanian law. Disputes are subject to the competent Romanian courts in Bucharest, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules that let you bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence. Consumers in Romania may also contact ANPC (https://anpc.ro/).

14. Apple-specific terms

If you downloaded LuviDuo from the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/) also applies; these Terms supplement it and Apple is not responsible for the App or its support.

Material changes will be announced in the App and on https://luviduo.com/terms/.
